Buff Butlers in Surrey

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Buff Butlers in Surrey (“we”, “us”, “our”) via https://buffbutlersinsurrey.co.uk
.
By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms.
1. Booking & Payment
1.1 Booking Confirmation
A booking is not confirmed until a non-refundable deposit has been received and written confirmation has been issued.
We do not reserve dates without payment.
1.2 Deposits
All deposits are strictly non-refundable.
1.3 Final Balance
The remaining balance must be paid by the agreed deadline stated in your confirmation. Failure to pay may result in cancellation without refund of deposit.
2. Cancellations & Amendments
2.1 Client Cancellation
If the Client cancels:
The deposit remains non-refundable. If cancellation occurs within 7 days of the event, the full remaining balance may be payable.
2.2 Date Changes
Requests to reschedule are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. If a new date cannot be agreed, the cancellation policy applies.
2.3 Performer Unavailability
If a performer becomes unavailable due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, we will attempt to provide a suitable replacement.
If no replacement is available, liability is limited to a refund of monies paid. We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by the Client.
3. Age & Legal Compliance
All guests must be aged 18 or over.
The Client is responsible for ensuring the venue complies with all legal and licensing requirements.
We reserve the right to refuse service if age verification is not satisfactory.
4. Client Responsibilities & Venue Requirements
The Client agrees to:
- Provide a safe and respectful environment
- Ensure a clear performance space (minimum 3m x 3m recommended)
- Ensure venue permission has been obtained
- Inform us of any venue restrictions in advance
- Ensure guests do not behave aggressively, unlawfully, or inappropriately
If the environment is unsafe, hostile, or unsuitable, the performer has the right to leave immediately. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
5. Intoxication & Substance Policy (Strict)
If the performer reasonably believes that:
The bride or guests are excessively intoxicated
- Illegal substances are being used
- The environment is unsafe due to alcohol or drugs
- The performer may delay, modify, or terminate the performance.
If a performance is terminated due to excessive intoxication or substance misuse:
No refund will be issued
The booking will be considered fulfilled
The Client is responsible for guest behaviour.
6. Behaviour, Boundaries & Zero Tolerance Policy
6.1 Professional Conduct
All performers act professionally and respectfully at all times.
6.2 Physical Boundaries
- Any interaction must remain within agreed boundaries.
- Non-consensual touching, grabbing, harassment, or intimidation is strictly prohibited.
6.3 Zero Tolerance Harassment Clause
We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy toward:
- Sexual assault or inappropriate touching
- Aggressive behaviour
- Threats or intimidation
- Discriminatory or abusive language
If any of the above occurs:
- The performance will end immediately
- The performer will leave the venue
- No refund will be issued
We reserve the right to refuse future bookings.
7. Performance Timing & Start Time Cut-Off
The Client must ensure:
- The venue is ready at the agreed start time
- The performer has access to the venue
If the performer is delayed due to the Client (e.g., late access, venue confusion, unavailable contact):
- The performance time may be reduced accordingly
- The end time will not extend beyond the agreed booking window
If the Client is more than 30 minutes late and cannot be contacted:
- The booking may be treated as a no-show
- No refund will be issued
8. Travel & Delay Clause
While we allow sufficient travel time, we are not liable for delays caused by:
- Traffic congestion
- Accidents
- Road closures
- Severe weather
- Transport disruption
If a delay occurs, we will notify the Client as soon as possible.
Where possible, performance time will be adjusted reasonably. Liability is limited to the total booking amount paid.
9. Pricing & Additional Charges
Prices are confirmed in writing prior to booking.
Quoted prices are based on:
- Location
- Date and time
- Duration
- Travel requirements
If event details change after booking, additional charges may apply.
10. Photography & Recording
- Photography is typically permitted unless otherwise agreed.
- Video recording must be agreed in advance.
- We reserve the right to restrict recording at any time.
11. Liability Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
- We are not responsible for damage caused by guests
- We are not liable for venue cancellations or access issues
Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the booking.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where required by law.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Government restrictions
- Illness
- Transport disruption
- Emergencies
In such cases, we will attempt to reschedule where possible.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be published on this page.
